2026-10-26: NetworkManager dispatcher.d script to set firewall (ufw) rules and screen lock on resume for trusted networks

Script to allow firewall openings (ufw) and remove screen lock on suspend on trusted networks, and remove firewall rules on network down.

Screen lock will have to wait until a network is connected, otherwise this would always activate the parameter on network down, which would be moot.

2026-09-10: Script for automatic keyboard backlight on laptops (linux)

My laptop does not turn the keyboard backlight automatically off as a battery saving feature, so I created this linux background service/script together with ChatGPT.

If the screen brightness is 20% or less the keyboard backlight is always on. Brightness in range 21%-40% the keyboard backlight is turned off after 20 seconds and enabled again on any key press. Brightness above 40% and the keyboard backlight is always off.

The goal was to make it brand generic. It works for me and I immediately liked it.

2026-07-10: XFCE script for changing wallpaper on lock screen to show contact information

Me, I use this with a duplicate wallpaper with contact information, in case some good soul would find my laptop, should it ever get lost.

I miss this on my iPhone as well (as a function): Show Contact information on Lock Screen = Yes, also what information to show of course (maybe your email and someone else's number?)... That wallpaper editor does not feel intuitive at all to me.
