I keep my home budget rolling about 6 months forward and just remove past months when everything has been paid. I use it as a planning for the future and not for the past. This may help you identify some costs that you can decrease. You can do this on paper if you want, or use an Excel variant or online/cloud Google Sheets, Apple Numbers or similar. Terms are made generic for you to find your own, this is just an example.
